Recently I am trying to use blogs to promote my business websites, I decided I should only work on wordpress based blogs, as far as we know that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the fact that its licensed under GPL make the WordPress the most famous and versatile blogging software of all time.

After a while I believed that build my own blogs will be more beneficial, because subsequently I can use my own blogs to promote my other websites, and I think its not a patentable idea, all kinds of blog networks are out there for the exact purpose, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, not to mention I can’t just post to them, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.

Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, the real content writing is time and money consuming, its never easy to build successful blogs. There are some interesting examples, let’s examine this one, Jade Arts, it has a nice name, and it has a lot of interesting posts, though its not a theme focused blog, there are all kinds of posts on the site. Here is another one, Lunch Special, this is a themed blog, all posts are following the same theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. Its easy to show more similar sites, but you should already see the point. Here is one last note, some of your blogs should not be very serious ones, do some casual postings randomly, such as this blog, gallery, this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.

When you already have a few interesting blogs, you can try to build a few more, use the old ones to promote the new ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. It sounds pretty simple, but the real stuff will be more complicated, do remember don’t do any spamming tricks for your sites, if you get black listed there is no come back.
