Compete With Machines: Do We Still Write Articles?
Lately I’m posting to quite a few blogs to promote my own website, almost all the blogs on which I chose to work were based on wordpress, so far we all agree that wordpress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, together with Open Source License make the WordPress the fastest growing blogging platform ever.
Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, this is not something new, the existence of blog networks already says it all, anyway those are other people’s asset and I have no control, not to mention I can’t just post to them, obviously I will have to pay the owner to use their blogs, probably not cheap at all.
Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you’re not going to just put spams on them, to put real content on your site won’t be an easy job, remember real value is always difficult to achieve. Check out a couple of interesting blogs, let’s examine this one, Featured, the domain name is pretty good, and it has a lot of interesting posts, though its not a theme focused blog, almost any interesting posts get posted on it. Here is another one, register domain, this blog is themed, all topics are about same theme, there are a few well ranked keywords for this blog. Its easy to show more similar sites, though I guess you get the point already. Last but not least, you should build some casual blogs, let them get some content occasionally, just like this blog, Our Pets, this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.
After you successfully build a few blogs, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, get your own little blog network going is not that too difficult. Of course its just the beginning, the real stuff will be more complicated, do remember don’t do any black hat tricks for your sites, if you get black listed there is no come back.
